The 2014 New Jersey State Report: Providing Access to Healthy Solutions is designed to provide a detailed background on New Jersey’s health and food systems, to identify opportunities to enhance prevention and management of type 2 diabetes in the state, and to support the state’s chronic disease planning work.
The Report provides diabetes advocates in New Jersey with a resource to promote positive policy change. Advocates and policymakers can use the Report to identify many of the issues that affect the prevalence and severity of type 2 diabetes in the state. Readers can also consider the Report’s recommendations as possible priorities in planning efforts. In addition, readers with an interest in specific topics can use the table of contents to find the Report sections most relevant to their goals. Finally, the Report Executive Summary is available to provide an overview of the Report findings and recommendations.
